In today’s oceanographic sensor marketplace, many instrument manufacturers are developing sensors normally used in laboratories and integrating them into pressure vessels to withstand the ocean’s harsh environment. CSnet can provide evaluations on the reliability, accuracy, durability and usability of these sensors. In addition, depending on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of a sensor, we can provide recommendations as to the application of a sensor for deployment on a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV), or installation on a fixed ocean observing system or array.
Metocean Data Acquisition
CSnet provides metocean data in both near real-time streaming, or from historical data sets, some of which span up to 10 years of data collection. We can offer in-situ, 24/7 metocean sensing of wind, current, wave, and other oceanographic/hydrographic data streams. This data can be used for regulatory and permitting requirements, or for spill response modeling, planning and operations.
