Work With Us

CSnet International, Inc. was formed in 2008 to provide broadband oceanographic, metrological, seismological, and hydrographic data services to the scientific community, government and industry. To deliver these services, CSnet operates the Offshore Communications Backbone (OCB) in the Eastern Mediterranean which is an Ocean Observing System with fiber optic cable, multi-port nodes, and near-real time communications. The OCB provides clients with world-wide access to metocean data collected using marine instruments and sensors specifically tailored for their needs.

Academic Institutions

CSnet has developed several collaborative partnerships with academic institutions through the use of Memorandums of Understanding and Data Sharing Agreements. These mutually beneficial relationships capitalize on the strengths of an academic institution to enable researchers and scientists’ access to an existing Ocean Observing System.

Scientific Organizations

Currently, CSnet provides data streaming to several scientific organizations in the Mediterranean region to enable a higher degree of analysis and quality assurance from our existing Ocean Observing System.

Environmental Government Agencies

Many government agencies and regulators require verification of environmental measurements and real-time data for monitoring potential pollution, temperature change, ocean noise levels and other parameters. In many regions of the world, CSnet can assist in meeting these requirements by the installation of specific sensors integrated on to an Ocean Observing System, a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) or an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV).

Marine Industry

CSnet can provide the marine industry with near real-time data streams, or historical data sets from our archive to meet the marine industry’s requirements for safe, economical and reliable offshore operations.
